Therapy
I began my own therapeutic journey more than 25 years ago on my 25th birthday. Sitting in the consulting room of a psychotherapist, the only thing I could say through my tears was ‘I don’t think that I exist’. Twenty-five years on, I now feel ready to accompany others as they travel the road towards greater self-knowledge and self-awareness.
In 2019, I completed a four-year training in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute. I am currently working to acquire the 450 client hours required for full professional accreditation as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I see a mix of clients both privately and through placements with the NHS and with a charity supporting victims of sexual abuse. I work in person, or via Zoom or telephone.
I am a member of GPTI (Gestalt Psychotherapy & Training Institute) and I abide by their code of ethics.
My on-site practice is based at the Old Chapel in Saltney Ferry, Flintshire. It has a welcoming café where you can have a hot drink or a snack while you are waiting for your session, and there is on-site parking.
