The Anima Centre

At the beginning of 2020, Claire wrote an open letter to Pope Francis, published in the Easter edition of The Tablet calling for a new, more inclusive vision of priesthood and a new form of priestly training, forming people for a variety of ministries in the Church. Many people wrote to her from all over the world supporting this vision and asking to be involved. She has now established the Anima Centre as a framework for implementing this vision, and gathering a community of people who share it. The first project of the Anima Centre is a listening exercise, which Claire is calling: Hanging on By Our Fingertips: Christians on Edge.

The aim is to collect and share the experiences of a wide range of people on two subjects:

‘The Church and I’ and ‘How I Pray’.
